Has anyone out there experienced the following?
A 13 year old called Mary keeps a diary. She puts all her thoughts, angst, everything in this diary. One of the diary entries describes how she would kill a classmate who we will call Candy. It is offensive listing how she would shoot her, she drew a gun with blood, etc - you get the drift.
3 months go by and a so-called 'friend' called Mindy steals the diary from under Mary's clothes in a dresser drawer, copies the page, scans it onto the internet and gives it the Candy and tells everyone.
Candy's mother brings it to the police
The police bring charges against Mary
IS THIS CRAZY or is it me?????????? Mary did NOTHING, granted the diary entry was offensive but months had gone by after the entry. Mary does good in school, never was in any trouble, ever, she has her journal stolen, published on the internet, and she is brought up on charges????
To top it off, all the kids have made up and are talking
Any thoughts?
TGIF - so trite - but so meaningful. This is definitely the best day of the week. It is based on the anticipation of the weekend and NOT HAVING TO GO TO THE OFFICE!
It's not the work - I usually work from home a bit
It is a relief not to have to go to the office.
I am not sure why - no commute? no chit chat or 'communication' required? I can throw off the office persona and relax?
Whatever - it's Friday and I intend to enjoy the day! And it's spring too - but that should be the subject of another day's entry
Well, I am here! 2007 is my year to communicate and reflect. Boring right? And, a little late too.
I am not sure where I will go with this. Maybe just reflections on the day - things that make me chuckle - coping skills - I don't really know yet. Sorry if I am breaking all the rules. I am a novice (virgin?) at this.
So, stay tuned - I will get this down and hopefully add something interesting
